The most important phase is the third one, the editing, and many writers facing up to writing their first book, don’t take on-board how vital this is. This is where you apply the craft of writing. This might mean discarding the finely honed phrases you conceived while writing because, on retrospect, they do not fit the wholeness of the narrative. It is a time to be brutal with your writing, but also to add grace notes. Where the addition of an adjective can set a tone or create a mood.
With characters the critical thing is to make them believable. You may want them to be totally original but stereotypes exist for a reason, because they exist. Very common names are fine, but unusual ones which may be claimed by some minor celebrity should be avoided to evade trouble. Physical descriptions should obey the laws of physics, which means six foot six guys shouldn’t weigh 100 lbs unless it’s for a very definite reason. With a character’s personality you can have more fun, because the adage ‘it takes all sorts to make a world’ applies, even in a fictional world. Just make sure you have sound reasons for making your character the crazy he is. There is no need for a deep psychological explanation of bizarre character traits but do drop a hint of an unhappy childhood if required.

Writing a book is a three stage process. The first stage is the preparation,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], the second is the actual writing and the third is the proof-reading and editing.
The preparation should include research into characters, settings and situations plus the plotting of the actual novel. This may seem like an imposition to a novice writer who simply wants to put words on paper,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], but it is essential to not only have research and planning to hand to ensure a trouble-free creative writing experience,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], but also to ensure that the novel is actually completed. All those half-written novels lying in the bottoms of drawers are largely down to the fact that the writer attacked the material without doing adequate preparation.
Preparation for Writing your Book
The writing of your book is where you show your skills as an artist with words, always bearing in mind the preparation you have done.

Writing A Book
Researching the situation you are writing about is obviously dependent on genre and the requirements of your plot. From a teenage kiss to an atomic explosion, find out as much as you can about them. Inhabit the situation yourself if at all possible because it is the best way you can accurately write about it. If you can’t be there yourself, try to put yourself into the minds of those who have.

Following these tips on writing a book won’t make you a great writer, but they will make you a writer. That is, someone who has actually finished writing a book.
Writing Your Book

The settings of your book can be accessed through maps and photographs on the net, together with the weather during the events. Try to be accurate, if only for the people who live next door to the house where you set your action.

Editing your book
The internet and its associated search engines should make research a breeze, but here are some things that should be borne in mind.
